Vacation for new employees
Regardless of whether an employee changes employers during the year, he or she is not entitled to more than 25 vacation days per year. If the new employee has not received all vacation days with the previous employer, he or she is entitled to receive the remaining vacation days with you, as new employer. The vacation that the new employee may be entitled to with you is unpaid. When hiring a new employee, you should therefore ask how many vacation days the employee has received during the vacation year from the previous employment and note this on the employment contract.
